On Faith
I don’t understand you, God
It doesn’t make sense
   how Jesus is you
I know it’s true
I don’t doubt, really.
I just don’t understand.

The focus is me…
   Always me…
When the focus is you
Sometimes its clearer.
Sometimes its not.
You confuse me.

So far outside my finite
   human mind
So much bigger and
   all consuming
But how do we know you’re even there?
I know the arguments
I can recite the facts
You’re the one I don’t understand
   can’t recite
   can’t box up
   into an easy little package

[Zephaniah 3:17 – “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy, he will rest in his love, He will joy over thee with singing.”]
